Host a Dinner Party

A great way to entertain friends is to host a dinner party. With a little planning, good food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, your dinner party will be a smashing success!

First, get some color inspiration to decorate your dining room table set.  Whether you have a white dining room table or a mahogany dining table a seasonal floral arrangement brings a sense of warmth to any table setting.  During the fall season, I love to take colors like deep purples, organic greens and bright yellow and oranges to decorate a table.  Whatever type of floral arrangement you opt for, be sure to use those colors throughout the table setting. For example, use plates, napkins and candle stick holders that match the flowers.

Dining Room TableNext, make sure your dining room table can accommodate all of your guests. For parties of 6 or more, opt for The New York II Collection from Cindy Crawford. Fashionable and chic, this table is elegant, yet comfortable enough for all of your guests. The deep merlot finish and gorgeous glass table is a stunning focal point for any room. The slatted backs of the chairs are curved for back support and comfort.

Finally, make sure the food matches the moode of your dinner party. If it’s a casual get-together with friends, make sure the food is simple, yet delicious. Mini burgers, fried potatoes and a light salad makes for a great meal to celebrate the end of summer.  If you are entertaining guests in a more formal setting, use recipes that are a bit more extravagant such as a lovely pot roast with seasonal vegetables and rice.
