All That Glitters and Glows At The RoomPlace

As we try to get the most out of these last days of summer, you may not be thinking yet about Fall, but it is coming. And as happens every year, seasonal furniture trends continue to rotate, with new expectations for look and feel ushering in the cooler temperatures. One of our favorites is the incorporation of warm, glowing metals in furniture designs.

For accents and accessories that really embody this trend, turn to pieces like the Light on Life floor lamp or the unconventional, modern Kali table lamp. Chicago furniture and design lovers will love the warm coloring and intricate detailing of the Galloway Cocktail table, and the challenge of pairing the unique Bravado End Table with accents and décor will offer an enjoyment of its own. Throw in a rich, textured rug or two (we like the colorful Terra area rug) and your home will be filled with the glowing, natural tones of fall in no time.

Something we love seeing paired with metal knobs, handles and accents is rich, mellow woods like mahogany and cherry. Fall is a time of year when we are very conscious of nature—both major autumn holidays celebrate natural cycles like the harvest and the changing of the leaves. So picking accents and other interior décor items that maximize on these features will allow you to enjoy the beauty of this time of year without leaving the comfort of your own home.

How will you celebrate the return of fall in your home? If you’re like many others in Chicago, furniture and its seasonal attributes may be the furthest thing from your mind as you try to squeeze out the last of summer, but you know The RoomPlace will be here when you’re ready!
